Announcing the opening of the “Rochester Center for Healthy Living”

Dr. Catherine Waller, MD provides Natural Healthcare options
to “Baby Boomers” who want more!

March 1, 2007

Rochester Hills, MI: There is a growing unrest among educated consumers today, regarding health care. The “Baby Boomers” are becoming more frustrated with the limitations of our present health care system and they are demanding more! There is more apprehension about various medications and their side effects. There is more frustration with the lack of respect and personal choice in health treatment options. Studies demonstrate an increase in the usage of holistic health care treatments, and Americans are paying out of pocket – even those who carry regular health care insurance. Physicians are dissatisfied with the present system as well, and some of them are changing the way they practice medicine. Dr. Catherine Waller, MD is one of those physicians.

Dr. Waller delivers a new approach to health care which fills an unmet need in the community. She combines traditional medicine with science-based complementary medicine, to create the best of both worlds, and announced the Grand Opening of her new Natural Medicine practice, the “Rochester Center for Healthy Living” in Rochester Hills, Michigan on February 16th, 2007. The Center offers expanded services to provide a truly comprehensive and holistic approach to healthcare.

Dr. Waller, a Family Practice physician in Michigan for over 20 years, was often frustrated with traditional treatment protocols that treated symptoms, without actually changing the course of diseases in the long run. She began merging her traditional medical training with the growing body of scientific evidence supporting the use of natural therapies, such as vitamins, herbs, and natural hormones. This interest in Natural Medicine led her to the specialties of Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine, which focus on finding the cause of a problem, not just treating the symptoms. She is one of only 20 physicians in the world to have completed a two-year specialized training program in these new and growing disciplines.

Dr. Waller presently meets the changing needs of her patients, by offering unique services such as bioidentical hormone replacement, nutritional assessments, age management medicine, weight management, and natural treatments for conditions such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

The “Rochester Center For Healthy Living” also includes the services of a Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Jean Wagner who specializes in the use of homeopathy, and a Psychotherapist, Gerald Snook M.A. L.L.P. who specializes in the use of EMDR and Thought Field Therapy (also known as the “Emotional Freedom Technique”), two exciting new treatments for psychological trauma (PTSD), anxiety, depression, phobias and mood disorders. Mr. Snook is also trained in the use of the “Interactive Metronome” a promising new treatment for ADD and ADHD.

The Center will soon offer expanded services including; IV (intravenous) nutrient therapy for patients with more difficult problems such as Fibromyalgia, neurodegenerative disorders (MS, Parkinson’s), and cancers, IV Chelation for treatment of heavy metal toxicity and vascular disease, and more Holistic services such as Stress Reduction classes, Life Coaching for Health and Wellness, Healthy Cooking classes, Meditation instruction and Guided Imagery.
